Dental Core Training in Yorkshire and the Humber
Recruitment to Dental Core Training (DCT) posts is through a national selection process led by Health Education England - East Midlands. DCT posts in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be included. Dental Core Training is available at three levels: level 1 (DCT1), level 2 (DCT2), and level 3 (DCT3). All the levels above are advertised and recruited to as separate vacancies with differing eligibility criteria.
DCT is recruited to once a year for a September commencement date. All DCT posts, regardless of level, are a fixed 12 months in length, with the exception of a small number of 24 month run-through posts. While most programmes are hosted in secondary care Trusts, some posts are available in primary care and specialist dental services. All DCT posts, regardless of level, are a fixed 12 months in length. Deferrals may be granted but are only possible for the reasons listed within the Gold Guide. It is only possible to grant deferrals if you have a ‘statutory’ reason, such as ill health or maternity leave. If you are offered a post but do need to defer, we ask that you contact the recruitment team (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible after accepting your offer.
