Gastroenterology in Yorkshire and the Humber
Gastroenterology is a fast-moving and hugely varied speciality.
Using both medical therapies and endoscopy, gastroenterologists investigate and manage illnesses involving multiple different organs, affecting patients of all ages and ranging from the acute life-threatening to chronic lifelong conditions.

The expected duration of this training programme is 4-5 years subject to satisfactory progression. The actual duration may depend on the circumstances of individual trainees.
Trainees in this specialty are expected to train in General Internal Medicine which will result in them having dual accreditation at the end of their training.
