Applying for a Deferred Start Date (National Specialties)
Requests for deferral will be managed in accordance with the national deferral policies which can be found in the Gold Guide and the GP Step-on Step-off guidance.
Trainees appointed to Training Programmes which are not managed by Health Education working across Yorkshire and the Humber must contact the local office which will be responsible for their training for details of their local deferral process.

Trainees appointed to Training Programmes managed by Health Education England, working across Yorkshire and the Humber should request deferral using this form which must be submitted to the appropriate email address listed below.
