The eligibility criteria for ST3 Defined Route of Entry into Emergency Medicine and ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine are listed in the 2019 Person Specification. It is an applicant’s responsibility to demonstrate that they meet the eligibility criteria.
All applications will be assessed against the eligibility criteria during longlisting. Any applications which do not meet the eligibility criteria will be longlisted out of the process and will not progress to the next stage.
“By allowing applicants to progress to the interview stage, Health Education England working across Yorkshire and the Humber HAS NOT accepted or confirmed that applicants meet all eligibility requirements. This includes immigration status, evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies or equivalent, and requisite length of time in training as per the relevant national person specification. This list is not exhaustive, and is applicable to all eligibility criteria. Applicants may still be withdrawn from the application process at any stage, including after the interviews have taken place, if the evidence pertaining to an eligibility criterion is found to be unsatisfactory by Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber.”
Interview Dates and Venue
The interviews for ST3 Defined Route of Entry into Emergency Medicine and ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine will be held at a venue to be confirmed.
There are a number of documents that you are required to bring with you to interview.
Please bring the following documents:
- Your Portfolio containing evidence to substantiate your application.
- Original passport plus 1 copy of the signature/photograph page
- Electronic evidence of GMC Registration from the online GMC register (printed within 7 days of the interview date)
- Original evidence of right to work in the UK plus 1 copy
The interviews will consist of 3 “stations”, lasting 10 minutes each apart from the Portfolio station which will be 15 minutes long. There will be a 5 minute gap between each station. Each station has been designed to assess the selection criteria on the Person Specification. You will rotate round all 4 stations during the interview process, the order you complete the stations may be different to below and different to that of other candidates.
You will be assessed in this station by 2 assessors.
You will be given a topic and asked to create a presentation. You will be given 10 minutes to prepare this presentation.
You will present your presentation to 2 assessors.
